Because of our mild climate, in the Bay Area, we paint year-round. In fact, it can be easier to do exterior painting here during our “rainy season” than the summer. This is because our “famous” San Francisco fog is at its foggiest during summer, usually peaking in July and August. And so, it can often be too wet for painting in the morning and, without any warning, the fog can roll in again in the evening and make a real mess of a day’s work. During the “rainy season”, we can at least have a forecast of the upcoming rain and plan accordingly.
We have been working in the Bay Area for well over 30 years and are very familiar with the San Francisco climate idiosyncrasies. Monitoring forecasts, temperature and relative humidity is a part of our daily ritual.
